Bling Your Vodka
And you thought your watch was blingin'. Medea Vodka ($40) is the world's first spirit to arrive in a programmable bottle that lets you display messages up to 255 characters in length across the "label", and thanks to a distillation process that pairs pure artesian water with centuries-old techniques, the vodka inside will be just as smooth as that "drink me" message you put on the outside.

Slow Percolation. Sweet.
A favorite among coffee lovers who prefer a smooth, mellow brew, this elegant coffeemaker uses the classic cold-drip method to produce a full-flavored coffee concentrate ideal for making iced beverages and for use in cooking and baking. Store the concentrate in the fridge – when you’re ready for a steaming cup of coffee, simply mix with hot water.
- This classic brewing system brings out coffee’s flavor and aroma by slowly dripping cold water through finely ground beans.
- Brewing your coffee with cold water preserves delicate flavor compounds, while eliminating the bitter oils and acids that would be extracted at higher temperatures.
- A precision metal valve controls the drip, ensuring perfect drop-by-drop percolation.
- Coffee flows through the stainless-steel filter into the heat-treated glass pot below, resulting in a pure, richly flavored brew.

Whisky Holster. Oh hell yes.
Blending perfectly with the beverage's wild west image, the Whiskey Holster keeps your favorite bourbon right where it should be: on your belt, preferably right next to your trusty six-shooter. Made from high-quality vegetable-tanned leather, it's the perfect size to hold a 200mL whiskey bottle, and even offers up a tiny window on the front to let your label show through.

Protecting the Family Joules
Over 2.25 billion cups of coffee are consumed every day, with drinkers invariably finding themselves walking a fine line between “too hot” and “too cold.” Aiming to help make that middle ground last longer, Coffee Joulies are small stone-like devices that can be immersed in hot drinks — cooling them while they're too hot, and then heating them as they cool down.
Each Joulie is comprised of a thin, hollow stainless-steel shell filled with a lightweight, temperature-mitigating material; all told, they're only 50 percent heavier than an ice cube of the same size, and they sink and stay out of the way in a user's beverage. Constructed of all food-grade materials, the small devices are roughly half the size of a standard chicken's egg and are each designed to regulate the temperatuure of about 5 oz. of liquid. Users simply put the volume-appropriate number of Coffee Joulies into their hot drink as soon as it's poured; the devices will then absorb heat from the liquid to quickly get it to the right temperature, then they slowly release that energy to maintain ideal drinking temperature for as long as possible. As featured recently on SpringWise.

Bistro Coffee Press
For this beautiful coffee pot/french press with ebony wood handle, designer Nick Munro found inspiration while traveling both near and far: "I've always loved to travel and I've always loved the crossover between east and west. For our honeymoon, my wife and I took our first trip to Turkey and brought back an original Turkish bistro coffee pot with a beautifully ornate 'side' handle. Some years later, I saw a similar thing in a Paris bistro and the thought dawned upon me to do my very own 'Bistro Set'!"
The hand polished 18/10 stainless steel pot is supplied with both a 'french press' mechanism as well as an alternative 'final' knob for fully flexible coffee making and drinking. As featured recently on Uncrate.com.

Cupcake Vodka. Hmmm.
Here's Cupcake Vodka. We're not entirely sold on the concept, but we're willing to try anything. The folks at Cupcake Vodka have created four distinct flavors...Chiffon, Frosting, Original and Devil's Food.
According to their website: "Cupcake has produced a vodka that is as rewarding and delicious as the wines that came before it. Handcrafted with the belief that good vodka comes from good ingredients, we used quality American grain, a touch of grape and natural flavors. We don’t add any unnatural sweeteners, because we don’t want our Vodka exaggeratedly sweet; we want it clean, crisp and {you got it} delicious." Go ahead. Give 'em a try. They may surprise you. Wine in a Pouch
There's a reason why flasks are the most popular alcohol transportation system for outdoorsy-types: bottles and cans simply aren't much fun to carry. Pouches, on the other hand, aren't too bad. Which is why we're digging Climber Pouch Wines ($17). Available in surprisingly tasty Cabernet or Chardonnay varieties, these affordable wines arrive in imminently portable 1.5L resealable pouches with an integrated spigot that ensures you won't be needlessly providing nearby ants with an alcoholic water park.

Just a "dram" please
Hearing the word “sample” conjures up images of Costco aisles and ladies serving up free pizza rolls and other oven toasted snacks around each turn. While those samples are delicious and we’d be lying if we said we didn’t on occasion make the trip just for a free lunch (thank you fake mustache) they pale in comparison to these samples from Master of Malt. While certainly not free, they allow us to try out whiskey’s we wouldn’t normally be able to shell out the cash for. Even a thimble of some top of the line Ardberg is better than a case of bottom shelf swill and now you can have some. Ranging from $3 up to $130 (good luck explaining that purchase to your wife or girlfriend) each sample is 3cl (30ml) of whiskey on your “To Drink” list. $3+

Save the Date...and the wine!
Everyone has at least one friend that refuses to be a man and play by the rules when it comes to abiding by expiration dates. Look buddy, if it smells ok and it tastes ok then we’re going to drink it – especially when there’s alcohol involved. (Note: does not apply to skunk beer… unless you’re really desperate.) Along with needing to learn proper temperatures, vintages, flavors, and pairings, now you have to know approximately how long a bottle of wine survives once it’s been opened. Honestly, we were unaware. GSelect saves your ass with A Date With Wine. The wine stopper looks something like a cross between a bike lock and an industrial strength hose nozzle has three twistable date rings so you can remember the last time you tried to pair that chardonnay with chocolate. Even if you don’t get it right at least you’ll know if it’s fresh. $45
